AFI - Triple Zero Lyrics

It burns! It burns! It burns my eyes and throat, but I need no antidote.
Gnawing and tearing at my insides -
seething, keeping me alive - hatred poisons me through and through -
a sustenance - keeping me true. It's not too late.
It's never gonna be too late.
Embrace your hate. The pain! The pain!
The pain it crushes me. I gain animosity. Acid sweat and
bloody tears, through it all I preserve.
Some sedate through indifference but I withheld zero tolerance.

i cannot beleive AFI used to sound like this.... Why did they change so much? This is much better than the new shit. Glad i found this.

  16. d.... ....

This shit gets me so pumped up. We used to blast this on the way up to bomb a big trail in Santa Barbara!

  17. J.... M....

I agree with what you just said. Thumbs up.

  18. J.... M....

RIght, this is with Mark Stopholese. I think they're both good guitarists for AFI.

  19. D.... R....

    This IS there best album

  20. C.... H....

AFI forgot to embrace their hate, but its not too late

  21. r.... ....

@RANDOMCATS100 I am a fan of AFI, and the new album (Crash Love) is not punk, it has punk influences
    Sacrilege: /watch?v=G9b0BS3AvrA

  22. B.... ....

New AFI album should be: Close your eyes and open your mouth! They sucks..

  23. N.... O....

    new afi sucks alot

  24. G.... M....

This song is Awansome. i love punk music. I pin straight edge

  25. A.... ....

@sandmanhater shut your mouth, but don't open your eyes you narrow-minded fuck

  26. h.... ....

    the replay button got owned

  27. R.... L....

@DrAbstracked dude, days of the phoniex was the most lyrical challenging

  28. D.... ....

@talkingbombs69 Well to be honest, I am straight but I do find Davey Havok attractive, however I believe that there earlier music was there prime, it's there most fun and energized music, the stuff that gets me pumped and as you said Sing The Sorrow was very well there best album musically, that's there most complex album lyric and instrument wise.

  29. S.... L....

I like ALL AFI man seriously its good its just different calm the fuck down :P

  30. M.... H....

@talkingbombs69 they don't play hardcore anymore. They play emopop.

  31. D.... ....

people grow up and change. Get over it and listen to the music. Just cause they make different music now, doesn't mean they didn't make good music that you can still listen to. And I'm sure Jade prefers writing more complex music than just fast power chords. Besides, Jade wasn't even in AFI back then.

  32. T.... ....

Perfect song for a show, this is how they got big. Hardcore moshing verses, catchy sing along choruses.

  33. s.... ....

@HoosierMF Absolutely true. During STS he was screaming at the top of his lungs on some songs instead of just shouting like on this album. To go from singing softly to screaming it will fuck your vocal chords up. But if you search you can find a video thats Art of Drowning/STS era where theyre doing an interview and he mentions "the monster" that lives in his neck. He had problems with it for awhile before the STS tour.

  34. W.... ....

    what happened

  35. s.... ....

I think a big reason to why their music changed so drastically is Davey's surgery he had after Sign The Sorrow.

  36. T.... ....

i really hate december underground but there newest album is ok it's an improvement but still their hardcore stuff is way better then the rock stufffrom their latest album

  37. Y.... ....

I like the old and new stuff why cant all you haters

  38. 1.... ....

well look at it this way afis change isn't like the beastie boys change

  39. 1.... ....

WTF happend to AFI really its a big change really big not just change just like they killed them selves and resurrected them selves in a new way

  40. V.... D....

    afi sold out

  41. L.... L....

@carbonxdating: AFI did not sell out. AFI didn't change for fame's sake, their music just evolved. Happens to every artist, get used to it.

  42. i.... ....

Everybody's new albums suck this year. Accept maybe for AC\DC. But these old stuff are really good

  43. r.... ....

they play this live at the crash love tour so amazing

  44. A.... W....

    When I actually liked them.

  45. M.... D....

    @PunkAsPhuck96
im 13 and im such a rebel hurr durr

  46. C.... ....

The breakdown is hella cool. :)

  47. T.... ....

lol. music is usually something that breaks down into style and emotion. cant always be a simple progression.few things i have heard of newer music, they are completely different.
if the older stuff is punk, would interpret that as being more raw and energized. newer stuff might have some type of intense emotion. yet its not the same at all.
i saw one interview before i got to this video, of them talking about older music as something like a old toy they pic up ever once in a while
    like it, dont

  48. s.... ....

selling out has nothing to do with musical talent its all for money

  49. b.... ....

and i wouldn't say they're popular. just ask random ppl on the street do they know who afi is? and than ask them who lady gaga is? unlike afi, she is just making music to make money.

  50. b.... ....

yea right. you know we all want some change in our lives, and so does davey. he just wanted something more, something new, something experimental. and that's what good music is, experimenting with stuff. i liked the performance, it was just like in old days: imperfect voice, screaming, jumping and all that kinda stuff. if they wanted money they would release "same" stuff over and over and over again.

  51. b.... ....

they're not sell outs. they've just grown out of that hardcore music. afi still sings old song on concerts. just wtch IHAV and you'll see that he still remembers 1997 ;)

  52. D.... ....

fucking sell outs indeed, but I still listen to them... their older songs are always available.

  53. D.... ....

agreeeed, DU brought in so many fucking emos.

  54. D.... ....

    IT BURNS!!!!!!

  55. M.... X....

    sell outs..

  56. z.... ....

thats still davey.. afi used to be hardcore he sings with ceremony

  57. S.... C....

    punk afi neato

  58. A.... G....

One of better songs by them

  59. t.... ....

dude i love afi's old stuff. his voice was pretty fucking awesome back then and i love punk songs that feature people trying to sing. i mean i love eighties punk, its my favorite. but i just can't stand how a good band like this went all pussy and shit.

  60. J.... B....

    when they were good...

  61. G.... R....

Ya there old stuff is untouchable...the new stuff has to much pop influence...They were an amazing band

  62. A.... ....

Their new stuff SUCK and this is AMAZING.

  63. A.... ....

    Yeah agree!

  64. j.... s....

    couldn't agree more

  65. K.... ....

It's funny how there are so many "diehard" AFI fans who think they started in 2003.

    This is their best album.

    K.... ....

KrankesDasein black sails takes that honor for me.

  66. A.... ....

Oh you are.. thats interesting that you share that information.

  67. A.... ....

Maybe because if he still sang like this the band would be done by the year 2004 due to him having such messed up vocals.

Think about it people.. and quit bitching

  68. A.... ....

Actually they didn't sell out dumb ass

  69. H.... ....

    Beautiful.

  70. H.... ....

holy shit... my friend wasn't joking

    THIS WAS AFI?

    WHY DID THEY STOP THIS???

  72. d.... ....

  73. M.... ....

my favorite afi album / song.
