i'd say that Float was a good overlap between word complexity, the typical landscape of so many words and musicality of underground hip hop of the time.
skelethon was incredibly complex and at times and the sound was definitely different and more developed, it sounded more like music in general than just the simple drums and sampling of hip hop.
TIK was less wordy but still somewhat complicated in its narrative, where albums before skelethon were less open to direct storytelling. the music was interesting but mostly synths and samples (nothing wrong with that.

i havent listened to float in a while but its among the best for very good reasons.

Float, Skelethon, TIK and Hokey Fright among my favorites in this great man's repetoire. a good-cross section of his abilities.

Aesop is not a Social MC. He deserves headphones and closed eyes. The Picasso of lyrics; a barrage of seemingly absurd imagery that slowly reveals itself as a complete picture. Throw that shit on repeat and feel the fragments crash over your melting brain.
