To those of you who don't know..... Trace Adkins recorded this song before Garrett Hedlund was ever heard of...
Not sure why they had Trace Adkins do this song. His version isn't even close to the version in the movie. Garrett Hedlund's version is much more haunting and true to the story ... as well as sounding like a sad COUNTRY song. As much as it pains me to say, This one by Trace Adkins is just plain awful.

I love both versions. Trace's voice is just beautiful. Garrett's version is indeed really sad and tells a story better, I do agree with Thomas Pratt on that, but damn, man, Trace's voice is just a nice, smooth bar of chocolate. It's a treat.
Sound tracks should contain the songs that were in the movie, not a cover by a famous star that can maybe be found in the credits. Trace Adkins wasn't even true to the song's integrity from the film---Watered down YUCK!!!!!!!!!!
