Has anyone else realised this album to be a tribute to the last great rock and roll bands? Each song is a facsimile of various ( mostly) UK rock bands... The cult, the smiths, oasis, the cure, etc, with a replacements sounding number, tom petty, on the 'miss america' song, maybe even a gun club inspired number! the production sounds are spot on!....all those negative reviewers at the time were simply hack reporters....thus, 'rock and roll' is the greatest tribute to the last golden age of true Rock music... like all great art, this album is rejoiced in posterity.. .

Rock N Roll & Easy Tiger are my favorite Ryan Adams solo albums..

I love the chorus this is it, this is really happening. captures that moment when you are dating someone and that one moment you get butterflies in your stomach and realize this is it this is happening man. she wants to be mine and I want to be hers.

I love BOTH versions of this song (your rock version and the Cardinals version). They both display two different feelings, that's the beauty of it. The beauty of your music and how versatile it is. I'd have to say that the Cardinals' version is my favorite, the emotion in it (the live version) is so raw and incredible and it found me in a hard time in my life. I just love it all, man

Seriously?? I just came across into the album this year, and it's arguably my favorite of his, and one of my faves of any release by anybody!

The only song Billie Joe Armstrong sings background vocals on is "Do Miss America". I have Rock N Roll on vinyl, easily my favorite Ryan Adams album.

And just imagine, he wrote this entire record as a joke. The man is a serious talent.

He has so much talent...Married Mandy Moore and they even perform together...Glad he has his shit together again..I love almost everything this guy has done drunk, stoned or sober...

@awakeningcry He's coming back - he is actually supposed to be releasing something on his label in the next week or so. He has his own label and will be selling through his own site. At least that's what I assume

i like this harder sound he did on this album.
