I went on vacation to Los Angeles to where my sister lives and I'm leaving tommorow. No place has ever made me feel like I belong. No place has ever made me feel at home but now I am here. I don't want to leave. Cancel the airplane.... Please.. I don't want to go ..

Last summer I took a trip to LA and got to meet some of my wonderful friends I had originally met online. It was the first time most of us had ever seen each other in real life, and we enjoyed our time at a convention, exploring the city, and hanging out physically. As someone who's never had a lot of friends in her life, I can probably say it was the best week I've ever had.

Though, it had to end eventually. We said our goodbyes, and I got on my flight alone to return home. As the plane took off from LAX, I listened to this song over the roaring engine of the plane. I took in the events that happened and thought about how it probably wouldn't happen again in a long while. And I cried, a lot, thinking about my friends who I may never see again like that, and how happy I was during my time in LA.

This probably won't mean as much to a lot of people as it does for me. Whenever I hear this song I think of that week. It brings me down sometimes, because I miss those people a lot, and miss the times we shared, but also brings me joy recalling how amazing our time was. This song came on pandora, and from the beginning it said "Los Angeles we leave you now" it reminded me of the earthquake that just occured, I looked at the whole lyrics before the song even played and this part got me "Well they say the big ones gonna come and we'll fall into the sea", they're saying California will drown :( This song gave me peace.

pandora brought this song to me. Its been on repeat for about 15 times now. Sometimes you just hear a song that hits and and it hits you hard. This one did it for me. I cant really say i relate to the lyrics in any profound way but it just brings about a certain feeling. I dont know why but it brings to light the fact that ive lost touch with a lot of good people in the past few years and i miss them dearly. This is a beautiful song.

I learned a beautiful contemporary routine to this song and I've liked this song ever since (three days ago that is!)

The first time I heard this song I was sitting at work. I was on the graveyard shift alone, left to myself thinking about my wife and newborn baby at home. It put me so deep in thought I almost cried, missing them, knowing that I should be home with them instead of where I was. This song was a realization for me, and helped me move through a rough time (that I'm still working through). It's helped me make a commitment to myself to be around more, to be a better father, husband, and person.
