I was always lukewarm about the film itself - only saw it once. As such, I never had nostalgia for it. However, I rediscovered the soundtrack while driving through Montana a few years back, and the songs and score struck me as a powerful evocation of the American West, and the feeling of home that its wild nature can inspire. The music alone makes one weep, even without the influence of nostalgia. A powerful score.

There have been so many times in my life when I've felt like I should be somewhere else doing something else then this song comes on and I look around and say "No, this is where I belong."

I was born the year this movie came out in 2002, and I loved it it's up there with Shrek, Lusitania: Terror At Sea, Britannic, The Spongebob Squarepants Movie, Cars, The Lion King, The Odyssey, Titanic, Inside Out, Wall-E, the How To Train Your Dragon franchise, Coco, and Free Willy.

I wish I could live in a forest surrounded by lovely trees and deer, where no human would be so cruel as to interfere in the peaceful place. I really don't like the human-Nature relationship. It's growing worse second by second.

I always remember after me and my siblings would watch this we would go outside and pretend we were eagles....feeling the wind blowing, being up in the starry sky's. Then we would go out in our field and imagine seeing beautiful wild horses running to us. I miss being 6 years old! Home is where I belong

Where I belong is at the barn with horses, that's when I feel like I'm home

I imagine a beautiful farm with many many acres,and some would be this plain that's not fenced in,and you can have horses grass there if you watch them,this also makes me sad because there are almost no fully wild horses,and I wished I could own a herd of wild horses in a 1000 acre field with streams and trees,and they could live almost wild without seeing too many humans,that would make me happy

Hayzy Horses yes me too but I own horses myself and they need at least yearly ferrier care so their hooves are not bothering
