This version is almost a perfect metaphor for what 'new' Maroon 5 sounds like compared to their old stuff.

I downloaded and dissected this soundtrack way back when and listened to it before I saw the movie. This version of the song is pretty catchy. The whole soundtrack is pretty catchy. I saw the movie it's kind of a cringer at times. Now the soundtrack is a bit of a cringer to as a result, IJDK

technically there are three versions of this song. The one Knightly sings, the "Remix" which Gretta heard and said she didn't like (it was played on earbuds) and then there is this version which Dave performs for his live audience. While the "Origional" is a lot softer and I love it to bits I also enjoy this version because Dave is following Gretta's ask for him to play it the way she intended. as a ballad, even if he did add his own twist to it.

I thought this version is bad when I heard at the first time (and of course the story in the movie made it look bad as well). However, when I try to listen it again and give it a chance, I think it's not bad.
