Ace Frehley - Ozone Lyrics

I'm the kind of guy who likes feelin' high
Feelin' high and dry and I really like to fly
I'm your kinda guy, girl I'm not too shy
And I want you to fly, so I think you oughta try

Ozone
Ozone
Ozone
Ozone

I'm your kinda guy and I'm not too shy
Feelin' high and dry and I want you to be mine
So I think it's time, girl, to start feeling fine
Feeling good all the time, so I think you oughta try

Ozone
Ozone
Ozone
Ozone

Now I'm the kinda guy who likes gettin' high
Gettin' high and dry and I do it all the time
If you think it's a crime and you don't wanna try
Something that'll make you high, then I think I'll say goodbye

'Cause I'm the kind of guy who likes gettin' high
Gettin' high and dry and I do it all the time
Now I'm much too high, I am high and dry
And I'm feelin' fine, I'm feelin' good all of the time

From sitting in my room in 3rd grade, to today as a 48 yr old man, this album is still magic to me.
The hard driving, melodic and Instrumental tracks on this record opened my mind to guitars and individual, unique music and the power of Ace Frehley's legendary existence.

  9. 1.... 8....

    Space fuckin ace

  10. M.... A....

Have to admit i was a almost cult like ace fan at 8 years old. Aside from that this was a amazing simple but very progressive album and the groive of this song literally makes me feel buzzed.

  11. C.... G....

I can't stop jamming out this song. Fucking great groove. Only ace could pull it off. There's something very primal about his whole approach to music. Great album.

Im ashamed to being a casual KISS fan and not ever allowed my self to hearing this.
No wonder the two main goofs resent Ace.
    He outshines them.

Zachary Clayton I got the Ace album when I was a kid. My older brother got the Gene solo album and my little brother got the Peter solo album. I knew as a little kid that Ace was the coolest Kiss member and made the better album selection. My two brothers pretty much ended up both playing my Ace album and theirs just sat and collected dust. Ace is/was KiSS 👍🏻😊

  83. 0.... ....

Reguardless what the song is about, the guitar is killer. This solo record is some of ACES's best work!!! The vibe is great I dont even really listen to the lyrics, its just the overall feel of the music itself....

  84. T.... G....

@cartert2 Formulaic or not, though, there's no denying that Mick & Keith had one HELL of a batting average during their peak years, as opposed to Paul & Gene (two blind pigs who stumble upon an acorn every now & then). In conclusion, let's go back in time to 1975 and give Ace's number to Mick & Keith. This guy would be PERFECT to replace Mick Taylor!

    T.... G....

Tony Gambini Ace was too dysfunctional for the Stones.
Mick Jagger ran a much tighter ship than Paul Stanley.

  85. T.... G....

@cartert2 You definitely ARE missing something. The Stones' "formula" is a myth that can be shattered with a close listen to any of their finest 60s-70s LPs. I'll agree that they DID establish a "comfort zone" (a trademark sound, that is) after the early 70s, by which time they were no longer what I'd consider an "important" band on the level of their glory years, but they sure weren't shy about straying from it either.

  86. c.... ....

@alexmortland never looked at the Stones or Thin Lizzy as being wordsmiths...Im I missing something? I love the Stones but they have always played it save by never leaving their comfort zone. They have a very formulaic approach to songwritting. They are just more deversed with song subjects...not all sex and parties.

  87. M.... W....

this song got me high when I didnt know what was high was all about?

    M.... W....

You got that right....hell, it got me thinking 'what is this high?'

  88. T.... G....

@alexmortland In conclusion, Ace Frehley should've been in another band. One with better songwriters. Ah man, Ace would've KILLED IT as a Rolling Stone, wouldn't he? Or Thin Lizzy? Something to think about, I guess. G'night now.

  89. T.... G....

@alexmortland As I was saying, this is a great, druggy, diverse hard rock album. These songs are well-developed & hooky as fuck (and none of them suffer from Ace's vocal limitations; on the contrary, these are the sorta songs that SHOULD be sung by a yelpy New Yawk dude), the band is tight, the guitar tones are tasty, and the guitar WORK tells me that Ace might've eventually developed a Jimmy Page-size talent for layered guitar wizardry, provided that he'd focused his efforts in that direction.

  90. T.... G....

This is the absolute best record to come within a pretty fucking wide country mile of the KISS empire. Ace might not've been much of a singer (although that Bronx yelp of his DOES have a certain charm), but I'll be goddamned if he didn't prove himself to be a top-notch tunemeister on this record, where he isn't hampered by the weakest rhythm section in hard rock history (that's Simmons/Criss, the anti-Jones/Bonham, and the primary reason for KISS' lack of power) or Paul's freaky girlyman BS.

  91. A.... d....

    ultimate drug song lol...still it's a badass song :p

  92. b.... ....

This could've been on any (good) Kiss album, and should've been. Space Ace rules!

  93. s.... ....

    exactly!!! ;P

  94. t.... ....

    i'm think your right

  95. x.... ....

ahh man i always thought this song was about PCP because its slang for Ozone but yeah i get where the sex part comes in lol

  96. A.... C....

My take on this song is that it followed the typical sex and partying formula that was used in many KISS songs, just read the lyrics: " I'm your kinda guy and I'm not too shy, Feelin' high and dry, and I want you to be mine So I think it's time, girl, to start feeling fine Feeling good all the time, so I think you oughta try O-ZONE, O-ZONE, O-ZONE".

He is talking about that he likes to get high, he wants the chick to get high too..and he wants to bring her to the O-ZONE (Orgasmic Zone)

  97. K.... ....

I like ACE, although Gene is my favorite band member of KISS.
KISS is my favorite band, and they sounded better with Ace in there. :)
I also liked it when Peter was there too, but all bands get rid of a few members... :(
Well this was a kick ass song, I also like ACE's new song Outer Space, and Shock Me (when he was with KISS)

  98. x.... ....

    me too!!!!

  99. x.... ....

wait what?!?!??! Ace is talking about PCP lol
