Academy Is..., The - Memento Mori Lyrics
Narrative fear.
A fever is dancing in stride – metronome memory.
Hypocrisy here is painting a portrait that's dripping with crass composition.
Fumbled trust, the father is dead, cathedrals are burning.
Lies fuel fires, fear burns red.
Going inside of our, going inside of our heads.
When we whisper, "Danger, danger," pull the lever, turn the page
and I burn better in the morning.
Heartlessness narratives. Christ, where'd you go?
Impassioned, abandoned. Why, you were wrong.
This will die out.
Narrative fear.
A fever is dancing in stride – metronome memory.
Hypocrisy here is painting a portrait that's screaming, "The silence of dying."
Lies fuel fire, fear burns read.
Going inside of our, going inside of our heads.
When we whisper, "Danger, danger. Pull the lever,"
and I burn better in the morning.
Heartlessness narratives. Christ, where'd you go?
Impassioned, abandoned. Why, you were wrong.
[Talking]
Heartlessness narratives. Christ, where'd you go?
Impassioned, abandoned. Why, you were wrong.
We've forgotten how to read, we've forgotten how to believe.
The text has gone dark, the author recedes.
We've forgotten how to read, we've forgotten how to believe.
The text has gone dark, the author recedes.

so many years later and I still love this song
Back when Mikey played drums and Tom was still playing guitar.
I like how "the Author" leads in perfectly to this song. ^__^
These guys were an awesome band.
The fact that they split up is a total bummer.
They saved my life.
Thanks TAI, you guys will always rock, together or not.
I love this song omg its been years since I've heard it. :/
Thanks for uploading. :)
@spadeallday I saw them a few times there as well. Went with the band randomly to guitar center before a show, we had mutual friends. Tucker Taylor... anyway, these 2 songs from the demo were epic too bad they changed so much
@Cadolena1 I think everyone who's listened the song has noticed that. You can't really miss it.
@Yoenneyehc Thanks?
@Yoenneyehc Who are you talking to?
'Christ where'd you go?' - favorite part :)
For some reason. The beginning of this song, always makes me want to achieve something. Or invent something. I don't know.
lmao you are a dork xD
1. The Proverbial Unrest (Intrumental)
2. The Author
3. Judas Kiss
4. In Our Defense
5. Dear Interceptor
6. Aboslution
Very easy to find the on the internet. And I'm pretty sure they weren't signed to FBR when The Academy EP came out.
But, this song isn't on The Academy EP.. It was from a demo that included this and an earlier version of In Our Defense that they gave out on tour.
this is my cousins band and totaly agree with you. miss those Knight of Columbus shows
It's really easy to find.. Just do a Google search. Or message me your email and I'll email it to you in a zipped format.
If you mean The Academy EP, I have it.
No, it's not. It's from a demo they handed out at shows before that EP was released. It also included a demo of In Our Defense I plan on uploading.
All I know is it's one of their earlier demos.
Ah, the power of the internet. ;) If you'd like me to send it to you, message me your email address.
