I was under the assumption that most of Emmure was a band pieced together over the internet. While most of the members were from the NorthEast. I remember from a "Cribs" bit some label or metal site did it shows Frankie"Emmure Brah" Living in Queens and acting like a lifelong local of Queens. Acacia Strain has always been better though. TAS is my fav band but as I got older I didn't care for what Emmure continued to produce, but when I saw a few years ago that TAS and Emmure was gonna tour my only thought was......Get your flat bill hats ready!!!!

alright I know you don't want to hear about emmure but I just have to explain how gay they are. emmure copied an acacia strain song. the acacia strain wrote a hate song to emmure. emmure copied and wrote a hate song to the acacia strain. now read what I said again but say Justin beiber instead of the acacia strain and one direction instead of emmure. one direction is fucking queer right?

emmure loves the acacia strain, so they made music like the music they like, like all bands do.  you really don't see the big picture in music do you?  basically everyone copied everyone and just barely tweaked the sound and that's how different styles of music are made.  then bands copy emmure but put their take on it and eventually it turns into a new genre of metal.  Its a mature view on music, once you know that you begin to respect all music.

1. Don't talk shit about a genre you know nothing about. Before you say "ass nu-metal" understand what nu-metal really is. This is Nu-Metal /watch?v=CnPyGtCLRU8 Emmure uses elements but is FAR from Nu-Metal. The problem with Emmure is they're LITERALLY like old The Acacia Strain(which was underwhelming at best), The Acacia Strain outclasses them in EVERY shape and form. Heaviness isn't about speed or melody. Its about technique "and brutal lyrics" more like stereotypical lyrics.

Children, children. "Heaviness" has absolutely NOTHING to do with not knowing how to play a guitar correctly. Heaviness isn't having a guitar so detuned that the strings are falling off. Heaviness is not about palm-muting so much that your whole hand is just one big callous. Heaviness is about speed, it's about the melody and the sound, it's about brutal lyrics.
If you ask me, Emmure is not fast, it definitely doesn't have melody, and "I WANNA WATCH YOU SUCK HIS DICK" is NOT brutal. Fuck em

And, to be honest, marvel at the points of separation -
Emmure is considered by its idiotic fans to be "metalcore" or "deathcore," which it isn't - it's shit nu metal.
Technical Death metal is compared to deathcore quite a lot, because of its sound that has that palm-muted, detuned, "Djent" feel to it, in the case of bands like Rings of Saturn and Signal the Firing Squad.
So yeah, they are quite related in retrospect.

Face it, Emmure is a band almost as low as BotDF and BrokeNCYDE. Anybody who likes a band like that with boring guitar E-string abuse, terrible vocals that sound like the singer's whining about not getting presents for christmas, and album covers that look like a 12 year old with parkinson's disease drew them, should be fucking executed. Don't even get me started on the shit lyrics. Acacia Strain Fucking amazing. Emmure? Worse than Fred Durst getting dildos shaped like himself up his ass.

I personally don't like Emmure a whole lot, but I'm not about to hate on anyone who does. I fail to understand why loving one band is supposed to mean you hate another. I just happen to not like Emmure's style too much--they're just not my cup of tea, y'know? But if someone loves them, they love them. And that's their right. If you're gonna talk shit, you just need to look at your own life and look at how much more both of these bands have accomplished than you ever have or probably ever will.
