But when I hear "We Will Drag You Down Below" I always think about the Greyjoy sigil (It's a Kraken, or giant squid if you will) and I think how much cooler would it be if they're family sigil said We Will Drag You Down instead of We Don't Sow. That would be fucking sick for a Kraken banner. Super nerd shit, sorry just wanted to share. Love Acacia :)

The drums are so dynamic; this song has perfect progression. I love the trippy ending and how his vocals created a kind of hypnotic breakdown. All in all this band has become great at writing music, I can't wait for whatever they have in store.

I miss the catchy riffs. DL was just as much TAS as Vincent. Now we have one original member and two guitar players replacing one guy and being way less interesting.

I take it back I said I liked above better than this but I like this better. I would crush all you little girls in the pit to this like when the planes hit the towers. Mass panic and hysteria, fists to faces.

My only problem with this bad ass group is I feel his vocals are repetitive. Fitting oh so fitting, just maybe a better range of lows mids highs. I'm a new fan so he may just be after a certain sound for this dope album.

You hit it on the head of the nail. Like A LOT of these kids couldn't handle playing this music every single night at this kind of intensity. They would cry if they were expected to unleash the brute force vocals Vincent has displays on every track. The instruments are(and also have been) top notch. Always heavy. The guitar work has made changes since "3750" and "And Life Is Very Long" but what the hell is a band if they don't change anything in their new music?!? To top that, Its their band. If somebody is disappointed with their lyrics because TAS  doesn't explain Rocket Science, the Electromagnetic Field Theory, and Thermodynamics in vivid vocabulary and sentence structure, get over it. TAS will do and say as they please. And even with all this said, someones gonna whine. 

I'm pretty sure they changed a bit because they can only make so many downtempo songs until they all sound the same.

why do most people feel the need to dissect every thing in a song or about a certain band? listen to the music. if it makes you move, stay and listen. if it doesnt then GTFOH. its as simple as that.

Lyric videos are so fucking lame. I wish this trend would die already.
If I even care what metal bands are saying, I can look in the description.
Especially with slower chuggers like this, these videos make the sonf seem even more slow and less good because it is dragging everything out.
I don't need to stare at the words 'SO MUCH BLOOD' for five seconds- I got it already.
It is especially useless for vocalists like Vince, where you can pretty much hear what he is saying anyway.
Put the album art up and get fucked.

@John Durso Pity on the album The Dead Walk is lyrically amazing... I completely agree with Liam. DL wrote almost all of their lyrics and now that hes gone you can definitely see a difference in the writing style. 

+Isaac Peddie except you are wrong considering he wrote the lyrics to all of the albums, the writing style has been the same since the band started.

To be honest, I love a lot of the lyrics on Wormwood/DITOM/Coma Witch, some of them are deeper and more meaningful than you think.

Half the songs up to Continent were about killing whores and shit like that.
Majority of the songs on albums since Wormwood are about entropy, society and Death is the Only Mortal had a lot of Lovecraftian references.

I was actually surprised by how well each person got used to the music and even pitted with me

Wormwood has "The Hills Have Eyes" and "Ramirez," are two examples of much faster songs than what The Acacia Strain usually writes, except of course for the end of "The Hills Have Eyes" when it slows the fuck DOWWWWWN lol.

I was saying in terms of heaviness and dark, misanthropic themes in both their lyrics and composition, Vince probably had more to do with them going in that direction from Continent onward. Above/Below are further proof of that, now with DL completely out of the picture, yet the music remains consistently merciless.
