Was really hoping Paula would add this to her set list for her Vegas show but it didn't happen. Although the couple of shows this month were referred to as "a soft opening".....so maybe she will add this once the residency really starts.

Honestly, I can kinda see why she fell off from a commercial standpoint. She wasn't a good singer back then, unlike her dancing/choreography. By the mid-90s, she didn't have the big 80s productions to save her. And of course, not everyone can be Whitney/Mariah in the music industry, but some other artists transitioned better at the time, in particular Janet Jackson, Madonna and Kylie Minogue.


She still is a good dancer/choreographer and a lovely person from what it seems.

This came out in 1995 and her previous album came out in 1991 so 4 years between albums is a long time for an artist to be gone and musical tastes can shift. She had taken a long time off because she was battling bulimia and serious spinal injury from a plane crash she was in. The album at least peaked in the top 20 of the billboard album chart and was certified gold for 500,000 copies sold. And she was supposed to come out with a 4th studio album in the late ‘90s but her record company got bought out by another one and she and other recording artists got lost in the shuffle. At least she made a big comeback with American Idol and even made a few new songs out of that popularity. And now we have a Vegas residency to look forward to!

Yea,but im saying,i think she shouldve came out with another album in like 1997 or 1998,under some other label to keep the fires hot,i guess its good she did Idol,but to me she isnt known for that at all,im glad she is doing the Vegas residency,and i heard she has a ton of songs already made since starting new songs in 1997,i hope we get to hear these songs in the proper format,she should def put out a new album

I remember exactly where I was (driving down 195E in Massachusetts) when I heard this song for the first time, and I thought, "WOW, what a way to come back," but, alas, the public was indifferent and the album flopped. This song remains sexy, sly and delicious 20+ years later. It's a shame it didn't connect, as it expanded her sound and was a bold yet sensible choice for a lead single. Ofra Haza's sinuous, ethereal background vocals prove to be the icing on an already excellent cake.
