I had the fortune to see them live in Canterbury's Marlowe Theatre on their tour promoting Lexicon of Love II and I realised the guitarist looks like Ben Stiller,the backing singers look like Bev in Brookside I forgot the actress's name and Mica Paris and Martin himself reminds me a lot of Gary Barlow

Ha ha - I think Barlow reminds you of Martin Fry! Barlow's parents probably dated to ABC! :)

This song is absolute perfection, so much Philly Soul coming through. If they had released this in 1982 it would have been #1 for months, it should be now.

I was listening to this song while driving up to Manchester and was stuck in a traffic jam. Thanks to this wonderful it made me feel better, thanks to ABC. I hope they are back in the charts, and are going to do a Tour. His voice is no different to what it was back there in the 80s. And what an amazing backing band!!

Very true - If you stand it up next to LOL it seems a bit soft, but listened to on its own merits, you realise it's a strong album by a man who's mellowed, made mistakes and lived life - I think we can all relate to that (well all of us old enough to have bought LOL when it was first released :D )

I saw a chimp tonight he gave me such a fright and the mouse said he was sleeping in my room. The tiny tot put up a fight but the chimp's pants were too tight a golly jumped into my bed tonight. Temperature's rising I feel like the moon is it suprising the chimp is in my room there's a fish shouting at frogs and making apple tart there's 10 little Martians here in my heart.

No, Confession is the weakest track on the album - it's still very good but the least good.

Changed my mind. McBride you are right. Confessions of a Fool is an amazing track and has that certain something necessary to be the single. Gimme ABC, the two albums by La Roux and Clarence Claritys "No Now" for alchemy of the normally stupid pop form into gold!
