Soul is just a more creative and interesting all around artist imo. Cole's strength is his relateability, not his rapping (though he is a good rapper). Kendrick though yeah he's obviously a great lyricist. But I don't see how Soul coulda made this track better as far as lyrics go. Using bigger words for the sake of it doesn't make a better song.

Its a very strong message, but honestly the lyrical content is weak, people know it too. Its full one syllable nursery rhymes and sometimes he rhymes the word with the same exact word, which by definition, isn't even a rhyme. Im not sitting here tryna hate. I just like to accurately analyze. The beat is ill, the message is on point, and he has a sick ass voice. the song gets like a 6.5/10
Don't always have to be 100% lyrical. Soul is making it easy for everyone to visualize the situation, and how common it is in today's society
