Grew up in Carlsbad! Graduated HS in Water Valley! Drove the drag plenty! Still have friends and family that live in and around San Angelo! Maybe one day I'll be able to move back to that area!

Lol I'm from San Angelo and I completely agree with you. As soon as I graduated in 08 I moved to San Antonio. Lived there for about 4-5 years and moved to DFW. Big cities are way better lol. Good luck there in San An-Hell-Hole.

June 6-9 I attended a conference at the Florida Nature Culture Center  in Weston , Florida entitled The Wisdom Of The Lotus Sutra . Over a really amazing meal ( chef cooked everything from scratch ) I talked to this guy from Texas by the name of Charles ( lots of Texans at our conference , for some unknown reason - probably because I like Texans ) who raised and trained Jack Russel Terriers . He called himself a " Texas Liberal ( that's the way his Mom raised him ; she was pretty outspoken ) . He asked me " You ever hear of red dirt country music ? " I told him I didn't think so . So I'm listening to this music in his honor - it's actually pretty good .

San Angelo isn't the best place but hey it's home and you can't beat that feeling you get when you leave and return home.

What’s funny my ex and I loved to walk along the concho. Have a picnic near the lake, go off-road from twin mountain. Then in 2013 we broke up but we stayed friends saying these words “time heals all wounds you’ll find someone.” It’s 2019 I live in Boise Idaho for college and found a girlfriend who loves me and when I heard this song I was like damn it’s true. Can't get San Angelo out of my head and heart. Left someone I loved dearly there. It just wasn't meant to be. I have some great memories there and some not so good. But it will always be apart of me.

I was born in Shannon Hospital in 1965. We lived in between Angelo and Bronte for a few years when my mom owned a bar out there. I've lived in different parts of Texas, but this area always feels like home. Mount Margaret still makes the hair stand up on my arms. Thanks, Aaron. BTW, that deer you shot a few years back was nice! I saw it at Kaleb's place.

My immediate family moved from San Angelo several years ago, but the rest of the family is still there. When we leave the DFW area to go back "home" and visit, its like going back in time 20 years. And that's a good thing. Friendly people, folks actually waive back, people are laid back, the Dunbar Cafe, the Western Sky Steak House, Rodeo week, and so on. Great times! If there were jobs I'd pack my family up and go back.

I grew up in Del Rio. My family's from there originally. Dad was first class out of the new Central High. I went to college there. I remember it raining mud, the bars around campus(Friday HH at Crystal Confectionary,), Christmas at Fort Concho and huge cheeseburgers at Zentner's Daughter. The old man was still alive and passing out apples at the front door. Fine town San Angelo.

Angelo has mass production of meth (the illegal substance, just prefer the short term), teen pregnancy statistics are higher then ever. Ranking nationally as of a few years ago the highest percentage of meth production in one city put us as third in all of America.
I grew up in this place. In a trailer park where my parents produced speed. There are cold faces and numb souls, but this city's heart still beats as long as one person cares. I plead, god bless the broken. Love to all.
