Their last album was kinda weak, radio friendly songs, many of the last few have been hit or miss, haven't heard anything this dark/heavy from them for many years, this album will be a gooden.

@Kev Coghill I find lyrically, when I'm looking for depth, I turn to meshuggah. When I'm looking for pure crushing weight and brutality, I turn to amon amarth. Sounds like you clicked on a video about apples expecting oranges.

@Pony of Apocalypse that went through my mind too, first a picture of Hitler in his bunker, followed by imagining the same scene with Putin. I hope the war comes to an end(not an apocalyptic one) soon.

@john haworth It's a callback to Hávamál which means "words of the high one." It's similar to the book of proverbs in the bible. Not really a saga, at least by what I petsonally would consider a saga to be.

A mix between early AA and their later polish, but really closer to the good old days.

@John Martin Yeah man, the intro riff is almost directly from The Avenger time, main riff's melody + drums from the Crusher... One of my favorites from AA in recent years.

I'm not going to lie, this is an amazing track. I loved it. It feels more classic and aggressive, like With Oden on Our Side, Versus the World, and Twilight of the Thunder God.
The kind of outright aggression, anger, and hostility that I feel has had fewer tracks on albums since Father of the Wolf.
(I say that as someone who has loved Father of the Wolf, Jomsviking, and Berserkr. They are amazing too. But every piece of art is different.)

I just feel like we haven't had as many tracks like this, The Hero, For the Stabwounds in Our Backs, and A Beast Am I on the recent albums.
They've done similar songs on recent albums, it just hasn't seemed like they make up as much of the albums.
That's no complaint from me. I've loved all the albums they've put out going all the way back to Versus the World.

@DemonDan Morrissey the indy circuit is the collective of all small wrestling companies that you can find in the US (similarly in other countries). There's a lot of them, actually, like PWG, GCW, IWA-MS, CZW, RoH (wich was bought by AEW), MLW, Impact, and others.

This track reminds me how much I miss Bolt Thrower and how much I hope they would rethink and get back in the saddle.. even if the cannons has faded. With a few more listens, this could end up being my new favorite AA track.
