A friend from Taiwan (not China).

It’s weird, over thanks giving we had our kids home. All but our oldest, who is deployed to Kuwait with the 82nd & I can’t remember how but something about blue eyes was mentioned.
It got me thinking back to the days when I was still illegal in the US, how I first encountered staind in a place called infinity in the 90’s while visiting friends (it’s probably closed or renamed now as that’s literally going 30 years ago now) I listened to staind as I became a permanent resident & enlisted in the US army. As I became a citizen, dropped a packet & went SF. As I DD214 & contracted. As I became a civilian again. Literally right through every major event in my life I’ve been a fan & progressed with the music. Even now as I’m older, a little more broken & twisted the music is just like a fine whiskey, it only gets better with time. Fuck it, I’m rambling bullshit now. It’s just something that’s been going around in my head from last weekend (thanks giving) & less than a week, a song drops. I think that calls for an evening of some music, a smoke or two & a drink with the wife tomorrow night to remember back.

Thank you for your story and for your SERVICE as well as to your oldest who is serving! I am a daughter of a deceased Veteran of Vietnam. My heart is full for the love of people and my country. God bless.

It's a good song but I really wish he would go ahead and release "Someone"! My wife and I seen Aaron Lewis a few weeks ago in West Virginia and he was freaking Awesome! The "Someone" song is a really great song and I think a lot of people will relate to it. I pre-ordered Aaron's new album and can't wait until it's released!
