I like this song which was recorded in last Century and which painted a picture of what it was thought this era of Aquarius would be. Always loved their version of this famous song. In August 1970 I was playing trumpet with the North Vancouver Youth Band at Expo 70 in Osaka, Japan. When leaving at the Tokyo Airport I began chatting with some cool looking Black guys and women in the waiting lounge. (I was very open with people). They turned out to be The Fifth Dimension so when I had to go they gave me a hastily made cardboard place-mat with all their signatures and wished my luck with my music. I was just a innocent 14 tear old and they were the coolest people I'd ever met.

I first heard this at a production of Hair put on at Booker T Washington High School when I was growing up in Norfolk. The kids there were AWESOME and I instantly became a fan of Hair and every song in it... especially this one! Oh and I'm not exaggerating when I say that that high school put on one hell of a production. They sounded just as good as this video! 40 years later and I'm still in awe!

What a great song and a great group. Anyone heard the song: You don't have to be a star. One of my favorite songs but it came from 1976. Why do some many people hate music from the 70's. The 70's is my favorite decade of music. Most people , I talk to say that 70's music is only Disco and it's terrible time for music. I disagree , I think the 70's was great for music. Most people GUSH and say how AWESOME and great 80's music is , give me The 60's and 70's over The 80's any day.
