I think I first heard this amazing girl group in the 90's, bought their CD and then never heard much radio play and then they just faded out. Wonder what their story is and what the various members are doing now.

Linda's voice is hard to compare with any one person. When I first heard her I was floored. She immediately stood way out and above anyone at that time. Sometimes she sounded like Robert Plant or Janis and then I hear Kate Bush with more balls. I am sure she was an interesting and challenging vocalist in the studio - blasting boldly into the Red. I admire that she belted out with no apologies or fear. I am sure there were people in the biz telling her otherwise and she was young. Pink is one lucky girl to have had her as a mentor. I certainly admire Pink and her talent and voice but she does not move me like Linda does. I am sad there is not a lot of material from 4 Non Blondes, but who am I to judge - I wasn't there to see what was going on within the band...

For how much subpar, middle-of-the-road, trendy, copycat crap that is foisted on us by the music industry, there's a band like this every once in a while, and they disappear for no apparent reason. Maybe they simply embarrassed the other groups?? lol Also, "Bless The Beasts And The Children" (a Carpenters cover) by 4 Non Blondes is very good and like a bonus track from the Bigger Better Faster More album. :)

I think you'll hear the similarities. If you've not heard of those two bands, do check them out. Listening to Linda Perry's solo record 'In Flight' now I stand by my assertion. They've got a similar vibe going on. All from the late '80s, early 90s, so it makes good sense.
