This is one of my favorite 311 songs since the beginning of time. I love Hex’s vocals, but these rare just SA songs are incredible.

I agree completely. I love Nick, he's the heart and soul of the band, but SA is who made 311 sound like 311. His style, flow, and lyrics gave the band such a unique sound and perspective. Read some of SA's rhymes sometime...they are mind blowing even today. Just a unique soul.

This song has a very prog-rock sound to it. It remind me of classic "Yes." The band was writing like crazy during the Transistor sessions. Nearly 30 songs recorded and 21 on the album. I hope that someday the unreleased songs like "Hazy," "The 90s," and "Forward." Come to think of it, they didn't release every Transistor demo. There were two other songs recorded during the Transistor sessions. One was called "The Future," and the other "Clone Me."

+Daniel Lindenbaum according to Nick's Twitter page, "Clone Me", was a working title for "Tune In", and "Forward" was a working title for "Large In The Margin" according to the box set tracklist.

+SkaMasta097 Thanks for the info. Yeah, I noticed Forward a couple nights ago when I pulled out my Archives set again. Clone Me...I never knew that was a demo for tune in though. I'm overall amazed by the Transistor unreleased songs. I need to make a Twitter page. I'm told Nick posts all kinds of neat things.

this song never made it on the Don't Tread on Me album. The Archive box set is the first time anyone has heard it. You are referring to Grifter. That song became Long for the Flowers

Grifter should've been chosen over LFTF

The complexity is amazing

The first time heard this it was last weekend and I had many space cookies. Needless to say my jaw dropped and I entered into space.
