I had this album when I was 13 (1998) I played it on my sony "disc-man." Took (x4) AA batteries or you could sit against the wall and leave it pluged in the adapter in the wall outlet. My family was not wealthy, so I used the adapter. I'd sit against the wall and listen to the entire album. I didn't fully understand what this song was about then, but I do now. WoW! these guys back in 1998 knew what was going on. Cool song.

Found this album at a second hand store (you hardly ever find good music in those places) when I was like 15 and just started smoking pot. I'd only heard a few 311 songs but I'm glad I got it. Got baked and listened to it all the time and it was the definition of amazing.

First time I listened through Transistor hoping for Blue Album - esque type stuff, this was my instant fave. Still rocks so hard. Not to say I didn't eventually take to Transistor in it's entirety.

Everyone has always known that 311 has been obsessed with space and aliens and shit and they've never kept it a secret. You see I've actually read some of their lyrics and can see all kinds of references to new age,occultism etc, and another reason I say this about 311 is because a lot of the symbols that they use are satanic or symbolic to the occult. It's not only 311 though....their are many musicians that do the same... I want you to research this to see for yourself.
